Special Assistant to the Delta State Government on political matters, Comrade Ozobo Austin has announced the launch of the Delta State Youth Leadership/Media training workshop.

The first phase of the workshop slated for December 10, 2020, will have participants from the eleven wards in Burutu Local Government Council.

The programme with an expected audience of one hundred participants from Burutu, would thereafter be held in all 25 Local Government Areas in the state.

Speaking on the essence of the workshop, Ozobo “acknowledged the fact that proper youth engagement is the best way to fight and reduce crime in the society as it had been proven in several fronts that the stick approach was always destructive.

“The programme will offer lots of benefits to participants as it will help to curb youth restiveness, sea piracy, oil bunkering activities and militancy in the state.

“The programme is in line with the stronger Delta vision of our amiable Governor, in building leadership capacity among youths, improved writing skills and reeducating youths with a career in online journalism in the state.

The would-be explosive workshop will take place at the ultra-modern Joe Marine Institute, Warri, at 10am, December 10th.

Participation is entirely free for participants, while launch and seminar materials would be given free of charge.
