Managing Director of the Lekki Concession Company (LCC), which operates and manages the Lekki Toll Gate, Mr Abayomi Omomuwa, on Saturday, November 27, said that he could not account how much the company lost when the Toll Gate was occupied by #EndSARS protesters in October.
This was made known by the LCC MD while being cross-examined by a counsel for some #EndSARS protesters, Mr Adesina Ogunlana, before the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry probing the alleged shooting and killing of #EndSARS protesters by Men of the Nigerian Army at the Lagos Lekki Toll Gate on October 20.
When asked by Ogunlana if the LCC lost revenue during the Toll Gate occupation by #EndSARS protesters, Omomuwa initially replied that it’s the business of the company and not something to discuss publicly, but later said he couldn’t really tell as he doesn’t know.

Also asked if he reported the occupation of the Toll Gate by #EndSARS protesters to the Lagos State Government, Omomuwa noted that he does not report to the State Government but to the LCC Board of Directors.
He revealed that the Toll Gate was owned by private investors until 2014 when the Lagos State Government acquired it wholly.
