President Bola Tinubu has appointed Anthony Egbotekun as acting Inspector-General of Police.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that President Tinubu on Monday approved the retirement of all Service Chiefs, Police Inspector-General, Advisers and the customs Comptroller-General.

The retired officers were subsequently replaced with new appointments.

Apart from, Egbetokun, other appointees among the new Service Chiefs are;.

Mallam Nuhu Ribadu – National Security Adviser. Maj. Gen. C.G Musa – Chief of Defence Staff, Maj. T. A Lagbaja – Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admiral E. A Ogalla – Chief of Naval Staff, AVM H.B Abubakar Chief of Air Staff and Maj. Gen. EPA Undiandeye – Chief of Defense Intelligence.

The development was contained in a statement by the Director, Information, Office of the Secretary-General to the Federation, Willie Bassey, on Monday.
