Lionel Messi is set to have a proper send-off at Camp Nou, as confirmed by Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas.
Even though Messi didn’t rejoin his former club Barcelona and left in 2021 after his stint with Paris Saint-Germain, he will have the chance to bid farewell to the fans.

Mas stated on the Offside with Taylor Twellman podcast that Messi will return to Camp Nou in some capacity, possibly for a friendly or farewell game like the Gamper Trophy they play in the summer.

However, Mas clarified that Messi won’t be rejoining Barcelona on loan.

While Messi declined an offer from Saudi Arabia, he is now enjoying his time in Miami with former Barca teammate Sergio Busquets, having already scored three goals in his first two appearances for Inter Miami.
