The Super Falcons of Nigeria will each pocket $60,000 (N46m) each for their progression into the Second Round at the ongoing Women’s World Cup.
The African giants qualified for the knockout round after playing out a goalless draw against Ireland on Monday.
The feat earns the Falcons the bragging rights as the first African team to qualify for the second round in two successive World Cups.
The Nigerian women also became the first African women’s team to keep two clean sheets at the ongoing world cup.

For their qualification, the Super Falcons are guaranteed $1,380,000 (N1.1bn) in prize money to be shared amongst team members.
That figure can go higher if the Falcons progress further into the later stages of the competition.
FIFA had promised a $60,000 per player bonus for teams that qualify for the Round of 16.
When divided amongst the 23 Super Falcons squad members, each player will pocket (N46m).
Meanwhile, the secretary-general of FIFA, Ms Fatma Samoura, commended the nine-time African champions for reaching the Round of 16.
She added that their feat has brought joy to women’s football as a whole with their elegance and self-assuredness on the pitch.
Samoura also assured that the monies will be paid directly to the players as against previous practices of football associations tampering with bonuses meant for players.
