An operative of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has been arrested by the police in Delta State for killing a 2-year-old identified as Ivan Omorhiakogbe.

The NDLEA officer’s stray bullet resulted in the tragic death of Omorhiakogbe during a raid on drug peddlers on July 13, 2023.

Officials of the agency had raided the area of Okpanam Road in Oshimili — a North Local Government Area, LGA of the state on that faithful day.

It was said that the suspect fired shots into the air, inadvertently hitting the young victim on his abdomen.
