Chelsea has officially signed the defender from Ligue 1 on a six-year contract.

Axel Disasi joins Chelsea from Monaco, marking another significant investment by the club.

The club is excited about Disasi’s career progression with Chelsea and looks forward to him joining Mauricio Pochettino and his new teammates.

Chelsea decided to acquire Disasi after losing Wesley Fofana to a serious knee injury and saying farewell to Cesar Azpilicueta and Kalidou Koulibaly, necessitating a new centre-back.

Diasi hopes to secure a regular spot in Pochettino’s starting lineup after the transfer.

The new Premier League campaign for Chelsea will begin on Sunday, August 13, against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
