Arsenal secured their dominance over Manchester City in the FA Community Shield, claiming victory in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in regular time at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s team clinched their 17th Community Shield title, winning 4-1 on penalties.
This marks the third time Arsenal have defeated City in the Community Shield, with their previous victories coming in 1934 and 2014.

Under Arteta’s guidance, Arsenal have now won their second FA Community Shield title.
City seemed on track for a routine win as substitute Cole Palmer scored, putting them ahead 1-0 in the 77th minute.
However, in added time, Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard equalized after receiving a pass from Saka and sending a deflected shot into the net.

The decisive moments came in the penalty shootout, where Arsenal players successfully converted all their kicks, while Kevin De Bruyne hit the post, and Rodri’s effort was saved by Aaron Ramsdale.
