At the 2023 Women’s World Cup, England received a timely boost as Keira Walsh participated in an individual training session.
Concerns arose for the Barcelona midfielder when she was forced off the field in tears during a group-stage match against Denmark, due to a knee problem.

However, scans have revealed that the 26-year-old did not suffer any ligament damage, raising hopes that she can still play a role in England’s pursuit of the global crown.

Currently, Walsh is working separately from the rest of Sarina Wiegman’s squad, but she does not need to return home and is not confined to the treatment table.
During the Friday training session at Central Coast Stadium, Walsh was the only player not fully engaged in the drills.
