Randy Waldrum, the head coach of the Super Falcons, expresses his desire to continue leading the eleventh-time African champions.
During the build-up to the FIFA Women’s World Cup, Waldrum found himself entangled in a bitter dispute with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Despite criticizing the NFF in two separate interviews, he was allowed to take charge of the team in Australia and New Zealand.

The team’s impressive performance during the tournament has put Waldrum in a strong position to keep his job.
While the Super Falcons were eliminated in the Round of 16, they received praise for their superb displays.
Following the game, Waldrum stated that he remains interested in the job but acknowledges that he has no control over his future.

“I am proud of my team and want to stay with this team and continue working towards the Olympics,” he said.
The 66-year-old was appointed as the Super Falcons’ head coach in October 2020.
