Napoli’s striker, Victor Osimhen, had to exit the club’s training session on Tuesday due to a right ankle injury.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Osimhen left Napoli’s training during a practice match following a collision with new signing Natan de Souza. The impact left him with a strong blow to his right ankle.
Clearly in pain, Osimhen hobbled off the field and immediately applied an ice pack to his injured ankle.

The club is optimistic that he will recover in time for their Serie A season opener on August 19, when they face Frosinone.
In a recent development, Osimhen had been absent from Napoli’s second-to-last pre-season game against Augsburg on Sunday due to a muscle strain. He had just recuperated from this injury.
He also missed a pre-season match against Girona.
Up until Tuesday, the Nigerian striker had not participated fully in team training.
