Napoli’s striker, Victor Osimhen, had to exit the club’s training session on Tuesday due to a right ankle injury.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Osimhen left Napoli’s training during a practice match following a collision with new signing Natan de Souza. The impact left him with a strong blow to his right ankle.

Despite ongoing speculation of a high-profile departure from Napoli this summer, Osimhen appears inclined to sign a new contract, despite tempting offers from Saudi Arabia.

Last season, the 24-year-old Nigerian forward was the standout performer for the Partenopei, scoring 26 goals in 32 league games, which greatly contributed to the team’s first Scudetto win in 33 years.
