Nigeria has been ranked the nation with the 57th best health system in the world.
The ranking was according to Statista, a German website specialized in data and information gathering.
Singapore was named the nation with the best health system in the world in the platform’s 2023 edition of the report titled Health and Health Systems Ranking of Countries Worldwide in 2023.

The second and third-place nations with the best healthcare systems in the world, respectively, according to the report, were South Korea and Japan.
Taiwan, China, Israel, Norway, Iceland, Sweden, and Switzerland were other nations that made the report’s top 10.

At the moment, Nigeria was in position 157, one place above Angola and one place below Equatorial Guinea.
The bottom seven nations on the list were all African nations.
They were; Eswatini, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Lesotho, Somalia, Chad, and the Central African Republic.
Seychelles was named as the African nation with the best healthcare system in the study.
The nation of East Africa was ranked 39th.
Algeria and Cape Verde, which were ranked 70th and 73rd on the list, were the two nations that followed the island nation.
On the list, the United Kingdom, the UK came in at number 34, and the United States, US at number 69.

According to the report, the conclusion was reached after taking into account some variables.
Also, including the degree to which the citizens of the two above countries were healthy and had access to the services needed to maintain good health.
Other elements included the efficiency of existing healthcare facilities and systems, the turnaround time for illness treatment, and the mortality rate of the nation.
