Sofyan Amrabat, the Moroccan midfielder, has been absent from Fiorentina’s pre-season matches, as interest from various clubs, particularly Manchester United, continues to grow.

Dutch newspaper AD Sportwereld reports that Liverpool have developed a strong interest in securing the services of the 26-year-old midfielder.

Following the departures of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Saudi Pro League teams Al-Ittihad and Al-Ettifaq, respectively, Liverpool find itself in urgent need of new midfield signings.

Despite their efforts, Liverpool faced setbacks in their pursuit of key targets, as Chelsea successfully secured Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.
