Godknows Angele on Monday bowed out as Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that Angele handed over to his deputy, Combolous Ikisa to serve on acting capacity.
The development follows his appointment of as Commissioner of Housing and member of the State Executive Council by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Angele echoed appreciation to the people of Burutu, his executives and the Legislative Arm for the support he enjoyed while in office.

He noted that his emergence as a two-time Council Chairman was only made possible through the goodwill of the people, adding that their prayers have further elevated him to his new position.
He also charged his successor to prioritize the people in discharging his duties as Council Chairman.
On his part, Combolous expressed gratitude to his boss for displaying great and positive leadership characteristics while in office, promising to sustain the tempo set by Angele.
