A cow on Wednesday rammed a man identified as Ubani Usman to death in Lagos.

The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday in the Agege Area of Lagos State.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Usman was fatally headbutted by a cow in the abattoir.

A source explained that as at around 7:40pm on Wednesday, the cow managed to break loose from the abattoir thereby the killing 30-year-old man.

It was said that despite the police’s efforts to apprehend the unruly animal, they were unsuccessful, and local butchers refused to cooperate in its capture.

The source said:

“The man was standing not far from the abattoir when the incident happened. The cow broke loose, and before we knew it, it had rammed the man down. We took the victim to the general hospital in the area, but he was later confirmed dead by a doctor.

“When the policemen came to arrest the ram and the owners, the people in the abattoir were not helpful at all. So no arrest has been made.”

The victim was promptly rushed to the nearby general hospital for medical attention, but sadly, he was pronounced dead by a doctor on duty.

As of press time, the state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin had not made comment on the incident.
