Man Who Just Returned From Dubai Beaten to Death by Police, Vigilantes in Delta

The family of Tammy Okubama, a Dubai returnee that was allegedly beaten to death by police officers had demanded for justice.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Okubama was reportedly killed by operatives attached to a Rain Oil Filling Station in collaboration with vigilantes in Ugbomro, Effurun Delta State.

In a petition through C.I Anyaduba Consults, the family called on the Delta State Commissioner of Police to unravel the truth behind Tammy’s murder.

The petition which also copied the Delta State House of Assembly Speaker and the AIG Zone 5, read;

“We are solicitor to Olison Okubama acting on behalf of Okubama Family
in hereinafter refer to our client on whom firm instruction we write.

“Our client was informed on Friday, 26th August, 2023 that some mobile policemen came to deposit the corpse of Late Tammy Okubama at the Mortuary, General Hospital Warri. On further enquiry he was directed to
Ebrumede Police Station in Uvwie Local Government Area.

“Our clients met the DPO to find out what transpired the led to the death
of Late Tammy Okubama, he told our client that it was some mobile Police attached to Rain Oil and Vigilantes that brought him dead to the station, which was not satisfactory answer.

“We were made to understand that Vigilantes suspiciously acted wrongly
by killing Late Tammy Okubama without any justification.

“Our client has four children, two wives, aged mother and dependence, is
the bread winner of the family; the children are minor in age.

“We are by this medium soliciting your office to unravel the gruesome murder and senseless barbaric and inhuman conductor exhibited by vigilantes and Mobile Policemen attached to Rain Oil that led to the killing of an innocent person that did not commit any crime to deserved being killed senselessly.

“Attached are the photographs of Late Tammy Okubama who just return
from Dubai.

“Your urgent intervention would be highly appreciated.”
