Tinubu Orders Probe in Recurring Boat Accidents Across Nigeria | Daily Report Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the recurring tragedy of fatal boating accidents across Nigeria.

Tinubu directed various government agencies, including law enforcement agencies and the Maritime and Transportation Safety Authority, to work together to determine the causes of these unfortunate and preventable disasters.

He also called for comprehensive safety measures and enforcement measures to be taken against boating activities in the country, calling on government agencies to be held accountable for any violations of rules and safety.

The President paid his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the recent boating accident in Mokwa Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger and Gurin village, in Fufore LGA of Adamawa State.

He affirmed solidarity with the governments and peoples of Niger and Adamawa, who have mobilized emergency teams and volunteers to assist the victims of the incident.

Tinubu wished the injured a speedy recovery and assured the affected families and communities of the government’s continued support during this difficult time.
