The group attributed the various successes recorded by graduands from the institution to the pivotal guidance of Ogbokeme during his time of active service.
One after the other, the old students expressed gratitude to the ‘father figure’ role the Justice of Peace played in their teen-age lives.
They reminisced of Ogbokeme’s commitment to duty both as a school administrator and as a teacher.
On his part, an elated Ogbokeme said he was taken aback by the gesture of his former students in recognizing his efforts even though he was ‘merely’ discharging his duties as a tutor.
Ogbokeme, who served twice as principal of Ogulagha Secondary School Ogulagha between 1984 and 2005 in a combined 14 years of service to the school, was later presented with a N150,000 sum by the group.
Among the entourage were; Comrade Shedrack Agediga, John Bebapre, Elizabeth Tonghan Ekpemupuolo, Felix Braboke, Godfrey Tukpa, Meshack Daukoru, Rev.Dr. Mrs Tune Acquaye JP and Olisa Obi Ijeoma.
