The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike are at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Fubara and Wike appeared to be in the Villa for a meeting of the Nigeria Police Council, NPC chaired by President Bola Tinubu.
Both Wike and Fubara were seen shaking hands before the meeting commenced.
The meeting followed the impeachment proceedings launched against Fubara by the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The NPC oversees the organization and administration of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF with members including the governor of each state, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, and the Inspector-General of Police.
Ex-President Muhammadu Buhari presided over the last meeting of the NPC on June 4, 2021.
