A former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to cancel the alleged purchase of N5 billion presidential yacht.
DAILY REPORT NG gathered that, in the 2023 supplementary budget the president submitted to the National Assembly for approval, there was a proposal to spend N5.095 billion on a presidential yacht.
Reacting, Sani, a political activist fault the move, anchoring his call on the fact that poor Nigerians are suffering.
In a post on his X handle, Sani wrote: “The president should without delay cancel the purchase of that N5 billion Presidential Yacht.
“The poor can’t be struggling for survival in a canoe while their leader is yachting.”
