Jumia, the leading e-commerce platform in Africa, has announced the appointment of Sunil Natraj as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Nigeria.

Natraj will assume office from January 1, 2024.

Natraj will replace Massimiliano Spalazzi, who is stepping down from his role as CEO of Jumia Nigeria after three years.

Natraj is currently the CEO of Jumia Ghana and is confident that he can turn the company around and achieve profits at the national unit level.

The CEO of Jumia Group, Francis Dufay disclosed in a statement while congratulating the new CEO.

Dufay said:

We extend our sincere thanks and wish the best to Massi as he departs our teams following 11 years since the very start of Jumia. We wish the very best for Sunil for this new challenge.

Natraj switched from the food sector to general consumer goods when he took up the Jumia role in November 2022.
