BREAKING: Council Chairman Dies in Kebbi | Daily Report Nigeria

Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, the Executive Chairman of Maiyama Local Government Area in Kebbi State, is dead.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Bello’s death was announced by the Kebbi State Government on Thursday.

He is said to have died at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) in Sokoto, following a prolonged illness.

Announcing his passing to the public, Ahmed Idris, the spokesman for the state governor, said;

“Regrettably, with a heavy heart, I announce the death of Hon. Zayyanu Muhammad Bello, Executive Chairman of Maiyama Local Government.

“He died early this morning at UDUTH Sokoto after a protracted illness,” Idris added.

The statement added that the government would communicate details of his burial arrangements to the public in due course.
