Protesting natives of Sokebolou and Yokiri communities have shut down operations of the Shell Petroleum Development Company.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the protest is as a result of the disruption of power supply by the company.

The protesters, mostly women lamented that the company has failed to meet up with calls for the connection of the community to the gas turbine supplying power to other communities under Ogulagha Kingdom.

They lamented the back and forth games the SPDC has played on them over the years, while supplying epileptic power with a small generator.
