Nigeria is undoubtedly the most decorated nation in AFCON history.

When it comes to the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), no nation boasts a more illustrious collection of medals than Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

Egypt naturally holds the record for the most titles won (seven), but Nigeria leads the way in terms of total medals won, with a whopping 15 since the tournament began in 1957.

This impressive tally consists of three gold medals, four silver medals and eight bronze medals, cementing our status as the most decorated nation in AFCON history.

Her first AFCON medal, her bronze medal, was won in 1976 and marked the beginning of a long and eventful journey.

Their greatest success in the competition finally came in 1980, when they won the coveted trophy for the first time in their history.

They repeated this feat in his 1994 and his 2013 and will have a chance to win his fourth AFCON gold medal tonight against Ivory Coast.

These records and accomplishments would not have been possible without the wealth of local and international talent available to coaches past and present.

The Super Eagles are destined to add another medal as they take on the Elephants of Ivory Coast in the final of the 2023 AFCON on Sunday night.
