The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has set the stage for the initial phase of excitement in the journey towards the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

With the preliminary round draw scheduled to unfold on Tuesday, February 20, at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, anticipation is on the rise.

In this preliminary round, attention will be squarely on the eight lowest-ranked teams in the most recent FIFA rankings. Among them are Somalia, Djibouti, Sao Tome, Chad, Mauritius, South Sudan, Liberia, and Eswatini.

These teams will engage in head-to-head battles, contested on a home and away basis, set to unfold between March 18th and 26th, 2024.
