The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has extended the ultimatum it gave to the federal government to March 13, 2024.
The NLC further called off its two-day nationwide protest against the FG for failing to meet its demands.
Its President, Joe Ajaero had stated earlier on Tuesday that the protests were aimed at addressing the issues of hunger and minimum wage concerns.
However, after their National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, the NLC announced that it has achieved the protest’s objectives on the first day of the demonstration.

The communique partly read:
“Consequently, NEC-in-session resolved as follows: to suspend street action for the second day of the Protest having achieved overwhelming success thus attained the key objectives of the 2-day protest on the first day.”
