Omonia Nicosia, a Cypriot First Division club, has ended their association with former Golden Eaglets winger, Akinkunmi Amoo.

The decision to terminate the contract early was reached mutually due to personal reasons. Akinkunmi Amoo, aged 21, joined the league champions in September 2023, signing a three-year contract.

During his time at Omonia Nicosia, he made six appearances but failed to score a goal. Prior to joining Omonia Nicosia, Amoo played for Hammarby IF in Sweden and FC Copenhagen in Denmark.

He represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Tanzania in 2019 and also featured in the World Cup held in Brazil later that same year.
