Basketmouth, the renowned Nigerian comedian and actor, recently discussed his potential retirement from comedy, shedding light on what would prompt him to hang up his mic.

His remarks were spurred by revelations about the hefty sums paid to Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy for his performances. Basketmouth, during a conversation on the Honest Bunch platform, expressed astonishment at the reported three to four million dollars Burna Boy commands per show. Despite the allure of such astronomical figures, Basketmouth declared that he would not continue performing if he were paid that amount for a single show.

In his own words, Basketmouth stated, “Burna Boy is paid 3 to 4 million dollars for a single performance. If they pay me that for a show, that will certainly be my last show.”
