Nollywood Actor Deyemi Okanlawon Reveals He Would Have Pursued a Career in Ministry if Not Acting

In a recent interview with Pulse, popular Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon opened up about his alternate career choice if he wasn’t in the movie industry.

He revealed that he would have pursued a calling to become a Christian cleric, emphasizing that it’s more of a calling than a conventional career path for him.

“I don’t think I can call it a career path, it would have been more of a calling. I think I would have been a pastor [if I wasn’t an actor],” he said.

Despite portraying some intense roles on screen, Deyemi Okanlawon clarified that he’s vehemently against domestic violence, debunking any notions that his on-screen persona reflects his personal beliefs.

Addressing rumors about himself, he mentioned the misconception that he’s “expensive to hire,” admitting that while it may not be entirely false, it’s not entirely a rumor either.
