Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez faces the possibility of a three-game ban following his second red card of the season in LaLiga.
Xavi’s expulsion occurred during the first half of Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Atletico Madrid last weekend, with the referee, Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez, issuing him a red card for dissent after initially showing him a yellow for his protests.
Despite being warned, Xavi continued to voice his frustrations on the touchline, prompting the referee to escalate the punishment to a straight red.

In principle, Xavi would only serve a two-match suspension for a direct sending-off. However, Diario Sport indicates that due to this being his second red card of the season, the league may impose an additional ban for repeat offenses.
Should Xavi face a three-game suspension, he would be forced to watch from the stands as Barcelona clash with Real Madrid on April 21.
