Ofougbene’s Ama-Ikiye Festival to Begin March 28

The 2024 edition of the Ama-Ikiye Festival of Ofougbene (Izon Oborotu) community will commence Thursday, March 28.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the festival will span three days and will terminate on Saturday March 30.

According to the schedule released by the Ofougbene community chairman, Comrade Andrew Iyepade, a long line of activities have been drawn to thrill spectators of all kind.

High point of the festival will be the display of the Tenyabebe masquerade that will take place on Saturday.

Full schedule of the 2024 Ama-Ikiye festival is as follows:

Thursday 28th March, 2024.

Tenyanbebe Masquerade Display at 1:00pm 4:30pm – Friendly Football match, b/w Chief Gen. Jeremiah lyepade Tantita Squad vs Community Town Team.

7:30pm: Music to be supplied by Chief Abraham Young till Dawn.

Friday 29th March, 2024.

10:30am – Oborotu Yeipade Masquerade display

12:30pm – Aferemowene Masquerade will be displayed

3:30pm – Friendly Football match b/w Forcados Vs Ofougbene.

Saturday 30th March, 2024.

12:00pm – Benikpobiokpo Masquerade will be displayed

7:30pm – Music will be supplied by Chief Kingsley A. Takemebo till Dawn.

1:30pm – Tenyanbebe Masquerade final
