Oxlade, the singer also known as Ikuforiji Olaitan, recently spoke out about facing challenges in the Nigerian music industry, expressing his frustration at being blacklisted.

He revealed that certain gatekeepers within the industry are actively excluding him, while some senior colleagues have resorted to blackmailing him.

Additionally, Oxlade lamented that he has encountered betrayal from peers who have not only copied his musical style but have also engaged in backbiting against him.

“Many boys don dey sound like me and still many boys don dey backbit me. Why me?

“Some gatekeepers don dey boycott me. Some OGs don dey blackmail me,” he said in a recent freestyle on Glitch Africa.
