American rapper Kanye West has taken a significant step by deleting his Instagram account following his recent series of rants about legally changing his name to Ye.

With a substantial following of 20 million users, West’s social media presence has vanished, leaving fans and followers wondering about his next move.

The decision to deactivate his Instagram account comes shortly after the 46-year-old artist expressed frustration on the platform about individuals pressuring him to revert to his old name. Notably, West legally changed his name to Ye, a decision sanctioned by a Los Angeles judge in October of the previous year.

“I’m closing my Kanye West Instagram account.”

He continued: “My name is Ye. No brand or numbers gonna force me to call myself what they want me to still be.”, reports the Mirror.

In a message reportedly sent to Justin LaBoy, Kanye West, now officially known as Ye, shared his intention to change his name on Instagram imminently. Additionally, he revealed that Instagram had granted approval for the name change, as confirmed in a message received from Justin, stating that the platform was swiftly taking action to implement the change.
