Dear Esteemed Leaders, Stakeholders, and Members of IYC Western Zone,
I am writing to you today with a heartfelt plea and a vision that I believe will resonate with each of you deeply. With unwavering determination and a burning passion, I am stepping forward with the ambition to serve as a woman leader within the Zone if giving the chance.
My aspiration is not merely personal, but deeply rooted in a vision to reawaken the place of women in our collective struggle.
This agenda is not just about my individual ambitions; it is about igniting a transformative movement that will empower women to reclaim their rightful place as pillars of strength, resilience, and leadership within the Zone and our collective struggle.
Allow me to articulate the aims and objectives of this crucial endeavor:
1. Bringing back the place of women in the struggle
It is imperative that we acknowledge and address the historical marginalization of women within our movement. By reinstating their prominence and significance, we can tap into the invaluable contributions and perspectives that women bring to the table.
2. Fostering self-reliance and improvement within the women wing
Through fostering an environment of peace, unity, and love, we aim to cultivate a culture of empowerment and self-sufficiency among women. By equipping them with the necessary resources and support, we can enable them to thrive and excel in their respective roles.
3. Addressing the shortcomings of the women wing
In recent times, the women wing has not lived up to its full potential. There is an urgent need for reawakening and revitalization, as we strive to instill a renewed sense of purpose, dedication, and accountability among its members.
4. Changing the narrative about women
The strength and capabilities of women extend far beyond superficial stereotypes and societal expectations. It is time to dispel these misconceptions and embrace a more inclusive and empowering narrative that celebrates the diverse talents and abilities of women.
In light of the significance and urgency of this endeavor, I humbly seek your support and solidarity. This is not a journey that I can embark on alone; it requires the collective effort and commitment of each and every one of us.
I implore you, my respected fathers, brothers, and sisters, to stand beside me in this noble cause. Your support, guidance, and prayers are indispensable in making this vision a reality.
I envision this project as a collaborative endeavor, one in which we all play an integral role. Together, we can effect meaningful change and pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future for our Zone.
In closing, I extend my deepest gratitude to each of you for your unwavering love and support. May we embark on this journey together, guided by the principles of unity, solidarity, and empowerment.
With warm regards and heartfelt appreciation
Comrade Shagamu Disi Ebiotukebena
