Senator Ned Nwoko, representing the Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has announced that the Federal Government will officially handover ownership of the Ogwashi Uku dam to the Delta State government by May.
Nwoko explained that the move aims to initiate the process of reactivating the dam and distributing water to communities across Delta North.
During a gathering at his Idumuje Ugboko country home in Aniocha North Local Government Area of the State, the Senator shared the development with women from the nine local government areas of Delta North.

He revealed that the Minister of Water Resources is expected to meet with state government officials for a formal presentation ceremony.

According to him, the dam project will address long-standing water supply challenges faced by rural communities and also contribute to agricultural activities in the region.
With the dam already constructed, Nwoko stated that he is eagerly awaiting its activation.
