Rio Ferdinand, a former Manchester United defender, has pinpointed the pivotal matches that could derail Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes.

Despite having seven matches remaining, Arsenal could reclaim the top spot by defeating Aston Villa on Sunday.

However, Rio Ferdinand anticipates that Mikel Arteta’s squad will encounter two significant defeats before the season concludes, ultimately costing them the title.

In his analysis for TNT Sport, Ferdinand predicts that Arsenal will suffer a 2-1 loss against their North London rivals Tottenham and another defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the penultimate game of the season.

He foresees Erik ten Hag’s team securing a 3-2 victory over Arteta’s men in that matchup.
