The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello, be served the charges of alleged N80 billion fraud through his lawyer, Abdulwahab Mohammed.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed an application for substituted service on Bello, to which Justice Emeka Nwite responded by issuing the ruling.

Despite initial resistance from Bello’s lawyer, Mohammed, Justice Nwite compelled him to accept the charges and proof of evidence.
Recall that last week, the EFCC requested a bench warrant against Bello because he had been continuously absent from court and avoiding the criminal charges against him.
