The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has withheld 64,624 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME) results out of the 1,904,189 candidates who took the examination.
Recall that JAMB had released the 2024 UTME results which took place over six days and ended on April 29.
JAMB registrar, Prof Ishaq Oloyede, who revealed development stated that 64,624 results were withheld due to various reasons, including verification, alleged examination misconduct, procedural investigation of candidates, and center-based investigation.

According to Oloyede, 1,989,668 candidates registered for the exam, while 80,810 were absent, leaving only 1,904,189 candidates who sat for the UTME.

Of the candidates who sat for the exam, 1,842,464 results have been released, while the remaining 64,624 are currently under investigation.
The announcement was made at a press conference held in the Bwari area of Abuja on Monday.
Oloyede said in part:
“The Board is today releasing the results of 1,842,464 candidates. 64,624 results are under investigation for verification, procedural investigation of candidates, centre-based investigation and alleged examination misconduct.”
