Tinubu Set To Commission 3 Gas Projects

President Bola Tinubu is set to commission three vital gas infrastructure projects undertaken by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and its partners, in line with his commitment to harnessing gas for economic growth.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Ajuri Ngelale, the projects support the Federal Government’s effort to maximize value from the nation’s gas assets while eliminating gas flaring.

According to Ngelale, the projects, accelerated since the administration’s inception, aim to deepen domestic gas supply as a critical driver of economic prosperity.

AHL Gas Processing Plant 2 (GPP-2), is an expansion to the Kwale Gas Processing Plant (GPP-1), which will process 200MMscf/d of rich gas and produce propane and butane, reducing LPG import dependence.

ANOH Gas Processing Plant (AGPC), a 300MMscf/d capacity plant processing non-associated gas from the Assa North-Ohaji South field in Imo State, produces dry gas, condensate, and LPG, and significantly increases domestic gas supply.

ANOH-OB3 CTMS Gas Pipeline Project, a 36″ x 23.3km transmission gas pipeline evacuating dry gas from the Assa North-Ohaji South primary treatment facility to the OB3 Custody Transfer Metering Station for delivery into the OB3 pipeline system.

Upon commissioning, the projects will increase domestic gas supply by approximately 500mmscf/d, fostering a better investment climate and promoting balanced economic growth.
