The House of Representatives has launched an inquiry into the procurement process surrounding the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project.
The decision came after Austine Achado (APC, Benue) presented a motion of urgent national importance during Thursday’s plenary session.

Achado argued that the contract awarding process did not adhere to established protocols and lacked the necessary approval from the National Assembly.
Consequently, the House directed its Committees on Procurement and Works to investigate the matter and report their findings.
