Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola credited Stefan Ortega’s crucial save against Son Heung-Min as the moment that prevented Arsenal from clinching the Premier League title.

Ortega, who came on as a substitute for Ederson in the second half, made an important stop to deny Son when the score was 1-0 in City’s favor. Erling Haaland had earlier given City the lead after a brilliant setup from Kevin De Bruyne.

In the closing stages of the game, Haaland doubled City’s lead with a penalty, securing the victory for Guardiola’s side.

Reflecting on the pivotal save, Guardiola acknowledged Ortega’s contribution, stating, “Stefan Ortega saved us. Otherwise, Arsenal would be Premier League champions. He has consistently performed at this level since joining us, demonstrating his exceptional goalkeeping abilities with incredible saves time and time again.”
