An Abuja Federal High Court has granted former Force Intelligence Response Team (IRT) Commander, DCP Abba Kyari, a two-week bail.

According to reports, the bail was granted to allow Kyari to attend to family matters, specifically the completion of his late mother’s burial rites.

The court has scheduled a hearing for May 31 to determine Kyari’s bail application in the drug-related case brought against him by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Kyari has been facing drug-related charges since his arrest on February 14, 2022.
