Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman has been named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Season, selected by the UEFA Technical Observer panel. This marks the first time the Nigerian international has made the prestigious list.
Lookman scored a historic hat-trick to lead Atalanta to a 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final on Wednesday night. This win secured Atalanta’s first trophy in 61 years and their first European competition title.
Lookman’s outstanding performance in the final earned him the Man of the Match and Player of the Week honors. His teammates Granit Xhaka and Jeremie Frimpong were also included in the Team of the Season.
