Arsenal will not be in Pot 1 for next season’s Champions League draw.

Starting next season, the Champions League will adopt a new format, replacing the traditional group stage with a league format. The number of teams will also increase from 32 to 36.

The draw, set for August 29, will divide the qualified teams into four seeding pots based on the UEFA club coefficient. Each team will then be drawn to play two opponents from each pot.

Manchester City and Liverpool are expected to be in Pot 1, while Arsenal will likely be in Pot 2. Aston Villa is projected to be in Pot 4, though they might end up in Pot 3 depending on the results of the summer qualification rounds.

Predicted Pots for the 2024/25 Champions League Draw:

First Pot: Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Inter, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Barcelona

Second Pot: Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid, Atalanta, Juventus, Benfica, Arsenal, AC Milan, Club Brugge (if they qualify), Shakhtar Donetsk (if they qualify)

Third Pot: Feyenoord, Sporting CP, PSV, Celtic, (Lille, PAOK, Fenerbahce, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Young Boys through qualification)

Fourth Pot: Monaco, Aston Villa, Bologna, Girona, Stuttgart, Sturm Graz, Stade Brestois, Galatasaray (if they qualify), Sparta Prague (if they qualify)
