President Bola Tinubu has praised the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for its positive impact on the Niger Delta region.
During the inauguration of a 600-meter long bridge in Ibeno, Akwa Ibom, Tinubu stated that the NDDC has directly improved the lives of people in the Niger Delta in various ways.
The bridge, which connects 20 communities, is expected to enhance social and economic interactions among residents and boost activities such as education and commerce.

Tinubu also commended the Commission for completing the Okiti-Pupa electricity substation, which has connected five local government areas in Ondo State to the national grid, benefiting 64 communities.

Also, the NDDC was urged to develop programs that would empower Niger Delta people to actively participate in agriculture for increased food production, as the region has an environment conducive to agriculture.
The Minister of Niger Delta Development, Mr Abubarkar Momoh, and Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom also lauded the NDDC for its efforts in implementing these important projects.
Dr Sam Ogbuku, the Managing Director of NDDC thanked the President for his support.
