The Abia State Police Command has announced that the case involving suspected organ dealer Andrew Amaechi is no longer under their jurisdiction.

Amaechi was arrested on May 8 in Aba, Abia State, in connection to the disappearance of two friends, Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh.

Reports emerged that Amaechi was killed while in police custody, allegedly during a botched escape attempt while being transferred to Abuja.
