Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, shared that receiving a DM from billionaire pop star Rihanna made her realize how successful she has become.
She revealed this during a conversation with popular YouTuber Korty EO, who asked her when she realized she had achieved success.
Tems replied, “I knew I’d made it and gone far when I got a DM from Rihanna.”
She co-wrote Rihanna’s “Black Panther 2” soundtrack, “Lift Me Up,” last year. Earlier this year, Rihanna expressed interest in collaborating with Tems and Ayra Starr on a song.
