Manchester United have reportedly agreed on personal terms with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, setting the stage for a possible summer transfer.

The next step for the Red Devils is to negotiate a transfer fee with Everton, who are asking for £70 million for the 21-year-old England international, according to The Times.

This acquisition would be a significant addition for Man United, especially following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s endorsement of Branthwaite as his top pick for a new central defender this summer.

Branthwaite has impressed at Everton, making 54 appearances since joining the first team.

The report also mentioned that Man United’s new technical director, Jason Wilcox, may have played a key role in reaching the personal terms agreement, leveraging his close relationship with Branthwaite’s agent, David Reeves.
