Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala is aiming for a podium finish at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The nine-time African champions are returning to the Olympics after a 16-year absence. Randy Waldrum’s team is in a tough group alongside world champions Spain, Japan, and Brazil.
Despite the challenging group, Oshoala remains optimistic about the Super Falcons’ chances of winning a medal. “We don’t just think about getting out of the group; I think we can actually walk away with a medal,” the Bay FC star told FIFA.com.
The Super Falcons have not advanced beyond the group stage in their three previous Olympic appearances.
