Former Real Madrid manager Fabio Capello has shared his thoughts on who he considers the greatest player of all time from those he has managed.
During his career, Capello coached some of the most outstanding players of the 20th century at clubs like Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus, AS Roma, and the England national team.
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, FIVE, Capello was asked by the former Manchester United defender, who played under him when he managed England, to name the greatest player he ever worked with. Capello, now 78, responded: “Ronaldo. I managed many great players. This is a good question. Every time, the winner is a forward. I think Baresi and Maldini were for me the best players that I trained and both of them were defenders.”
